The most unique dress attire that we've seen so far at a wedding? Lagertha Winter Vikings... Think all the faux fur, hunting lodge and log fires, candle lit dinner, dinner musical theatre entertainment, and dramatic outer coats... We're talking about themed outfits, bold patterns, vibrant colours, and everything that screams unique and fun. Whether it's a vintage look, a futuristic theme, or a colourful explosion, the sky's the limit when it comes to your guests' attire. Let your imagination run wild and embrace the freedom to express yourself through fashion. Not only is this trend exciting for your guests, but it also adds a fun and quirky element to your wedding. She said how her guests were able to dress both comfortably for the summer heat in something that they already had and loved in their closet, and it felt just like a backyard garden party with her closest friends! Just make sure to communicate your dress code guidelines clearly so everyone knows what to expect. And if you're worried about your guests not having the right attire, don't fret. If you're taking a more creative route with your outfit theme, you can always provide a costume rental service or a DIY station where your guests can create their own unique outfits.This will not only add to the fun but also create a sense of community among your guests as they collaborate and help each other out.     June 3, 2023 It was truly the wedding to kick off our summer season of weddings, Congratulations to Cynthia and Isaac! I had the pleasure of working with this Fraser Valley couple, planning their wedding for the past year, and we could not have made it any more perfect, from decor to floorplan, to sourcing their vendors. The flow and beauty of this wedding matched the incredible energy of the couple and their families. I knew the moment I met Cynthia and Isaac we were embarking on a fun adventure in planning their vision. Everything came together as beautifully as I planned, and it was so rewarding to see my clients and fellow vendors taking it all in. The stunning neutral pallet of wood and wicker elements, soft cream along with lush Italian ruscus complimented the jaw-dropping backdrop you only can have at American Creek Lodge, allowing the guests to take in the one-of-a-kind view Then, if that wasn't enough The banquet hall boasted natural elements of wicker and soft fabrics, complimented by simple tableware, all contrasting the stunning dark wood harvest tables and leather chairs, with final accents of brown glass bottles filled with adorable florals of dried and fresh bouquets. From the food, to the service, to the entertainment, everything came together harmonizing this family wedding and making the day very special for the happy couple. The best part, the couple whisked away 5 weeks before the wedding on a Scotland adventure for 3 weeks, arriving home two weeks before the big day! How did they do it?   • Micro Weddings, the new trend you didn't know how much you could love!

    With the wedding season of 2020 being the most emotional and uncertain year, I am happy to announce we are getting used to the "new norm" of weddings for right now; and so are you! When we started this season we never imagined the amount of change we would go through, with many clients deferring their dates to 2021 in hope we would be back to normal by then. As we move into this next phase of Covid-19 we are seeing more and more clients focus on what is important, and this is exciting! Maybe you were that little girl that dreamed of your massive wedding, outrageous gown, or over the top show to celebrate your day. Perhaps you never really put any intentions into your day at all, you just followed the flow of what to do for your wedding. Regardless, for those who chose to pursue their "I do's" into 2020, they have all said the same thing to us. "It was devastating at first, but at the end of the day we made it work, we made it exciting and we did it our way and it felt very intimate and special". Your in love, you want to continue your journey and Covid-19 does not have to hinder your path any further. Consider a Wedding Planner/ Coordinator for your day.   • Fraser Valley Stunning Ceremony Spaces

    With Fall just around the corner we are going to look back at the last few weeks of gorgeous summer weddings. Our Encore brides and grooms may have had to deal with some uncertain weather this wedding season but miraculously in most cases the sun made an appearance just in time, and if not a solid plan b makes it all okay. Today we're going to check out some of the ways our couples personalize their ceremony spaces and truly make it their own. Sometimes just a few florals or some flowing fabrics is all it takes to transform a space and take it to the next level. When planning your own ceremony design and decor give some thought to the aesthetic you want and go from there. This beautiful ceremony site is at one of our favourites: The Secret Garden in Abbotsford. A venue like this requires little in the way of decor thanks to the lush greenery surrounding both the ceremony and reception areas. This beautiful pergola was adorned with flowing chiffon and a floral piece added to the top in the wedding's colour scheme. Simple yet totally effective. Arbors and other unique structures are taking the place of the more traditional ceremony arch. They are easy to bring in to a space and make a real statement. We just love the boho chic vibes from the flowy fabric and gorgeous throw rug we recently set up at the Vancouver Rowing Club. Rustic chic is the only way to describe this stunning ceremony site at a Deroche farm. Creating seating using hay bales and wooden planks along with aisle markers of galvanized buckets overflowing with baby's breath sets the mood for this beautiful celebration. Who says a rain plan has to be a disappointment? This amazing barn setup at Hopcott Farm was romantic and cozy; and just look at that greenery chandelier! Having a solid plan b is so important here on the West Coast and this one totally nailed it. This stunning wedding at Zajac Ranch in Mission had our coordinators in awe. Just look at this boho chic macrame ceremony back drop! Everything about this wedding was so personalized and detailed we just can't get enough. And just because it was so creative and distinctive just check out their Scrabble wedding cake: Just amazing!!

    One of the things we here at Encore Wedding Coordination Specialists enjoy most about our job is seeing the unique and personal decor that each couple puts together for their special day. While many Fraser Valley brides stick with the current wedding trends almost all add something to their decor that speaks to them makes this an event that represents them as a couple ready for the next chapter of their lives. Let's have a look at some of the ways our Encore couples have put their personal touches on their weddings this past weekend: We were just stunned by this beautiful welcome and gift table setup at UBC Boathouse in Richmond. The hoop greenery and photo backdrop works perfectly with the water and adds a personal touch. We are also loving the Polaroid guest book trend, what a wonderful keepsake that you can enjoy for years to come! This vintage-style card table comes to us from Little White Wedding Chapel in Chilliwack. This gorgeous little venue has all sorts of vintage charm for you to incorporate into your day. We always recommend finding a venue that suits your style and aesthetic. It's so much easier to work with a venue's design rather than against it! We also just adore this greenery arrangement placed on venue's piano: Adding greenery and your own little touches in unexpected places throughout your venue can make a huge impact with your guests. Speaking of special little touches, we are just smitten with this rustic ladder setup from Fort Langley golf course! Choosing distressed pieces works with a variety of themes including rustic, barn, and romantic vintage. You can place these vignettes anywhere as part of your wedding decor; they are a great way to close off an area, add interest and perspective, or just bring a little more of your own style to your day. Our bride and groom from last weekend's wedding at Golden Eagle Golf Course in Pitt Meadows truly took their vintage style to the next level with a number of rented pieces from Past Pieces. Just look at this amazing sweetheart table! And we just can't get enough of their cake table as well! The greenery bouquet peeking out of the bottom is drawer is just perfection: Oh and there's more! Just look at the beautiful welcome table they created. We just loved all the personal photos and details of this stunning day. Taking your vision and making sure it comes to life is one of the best parts of our job! September is fast approaching but wedding season here in the Fraser Valley isn't slowing down anytime soon!
